QuoteThey will be available in two different editions You can also have both.

My worry is that they are planning to discontinue Java edition, and then say "well most Java players are on Windows so they can use Bedrock!"
Deep space

Presently, Java supports Windows 7 and later, whereas Bedrock is compatible with Windows 10 and later. I worry that, when the time comes to drop Windows 7 and 8, Microsoft will decide that there is no longer a reason to have two distinct codebases.

I should note that this issue isn't a result of Microsoft's conflict of interests in (not) supporting Linux. None of the major game studios, including Paradox or Valve are planning to bring full-sized games to Linux unless they have access to the majority of software that runs on Windows. If the developer decides not to support the Windows version of a proprietary Linux game and it was a result, it would be removed from the Linux community.

Quoting: Mr-victoryQuoteIt doesn't matter to Linux players however it does for me. I was using the bedrock edition mainly because java was way more expensive. Now I can play minecraft on linux. The last time I checked, buying BE on one platform didn't allow it on other platforms. Is that the case now? Is it true that buying Minecraft on your desktop now give you Bedrock on Android, or vice versa?
